PROJECT: Barbara Bennett Elem # 22 PROPOSALS RECEIVED: August 23, 2022 2:00 PM (Base Bid with Unit Prices) 3:00 PM (Alternates) ARCHITECT: Stantec Architecture 910 Louisiana St. 26th Floor Houston, Texas 77002 713-548-5820 Attn: Mark Jackson / mark.jackson@stantec.com The Work in this project includes, but is not limited to the construction of a new, approx 105,000 sq. ft. Elementary School, containing a library, dining & food service areas, classrooms, administration, and a gym, with all associated electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems. The building has a steel frame structure, with face brick and CMU exterior and CMU and / or metal stud back up walls. Site improvements include, but are not limited to concrete paving, site utilities, and storm water drainage. A Pre-Proposal meeting will be held on August 11, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the AISD Support Services Center at 2200 Stapp Maxwell - Bldg A, Alvin TX. 77511. Attendance is highly recommended. Competitive Sealed Proposals for the above referenced project will be received by Alvin Independent School District at the AISD Support Services Center at 2200 Stapp Maxwell - Bldg A, Alvin TX. 77511, Attn: Bill VanWagner. All proposals must be on a lump sum basis with unit pricing attached. Base Bid Proposals will be received until 2:00 PM, with Alternates received until 3:00 PM, on August 23, 2022. The total construction budget is approximately $26,000,000 The District will receive, publicly open, and read aloud the names and proposal amounts of all Competitive Sealed Proposals. After the date of opening the Competitive Sealed Proposals, the District will evaluate and rank each submission in relation to the criteria set forth in the Project Specifications. The final selection of a Contractor for this project will be based on a combined evaluation of qualifications and cost of services to determine the best value to the District. The District reserves the right to waive any informality and to reject any or all Proposals. By submitting a proposal, the Proposer agrees to waive any claim it has or may have against the Owner, the Architect and their respective employees, arising out of or in connection with the administration, evaluation, or recommendation of any proposal; waiver of any requirements under the Proposal Request and Qualification Submittal; and acceptance or rejection of any proposals; and award of the Contract. Plans and Specifications will be made available after August 1, 2022. Electronic copies can be obtained through ARC Planwell, FW Dodge, AGC Houston, Construction Market Data- Houston Plan Room, and Virtual Builders Exchange. Hard copies require a deposit of $500 per set through ARC Planwell. Deposit checks made payable to Alvin ISD are subject to refund upon return to ARC Planwell within 10 days following the proposal submission with the complete set bound in order and in good condition. "Compliance with Gov't Code 552.372: The requirements of the Texas Public Information Act, Chapter 552 of the Texas Government Code, Subchapter J, may apply to this bid or contract if it is valued at more than $1 million. The contractor or vendor agrees the contract can be terminated if the contractor or vendor knowingly or intentionally fails to comply with a requirement of that subchapter, including the preservation of all "contracting information" (as defined in 552.003) and the provision, upon request of the governmental entity with whom you are contracting, of all contracting information. Contracting information includes, but is not limited to, records, communications and other documents related to the bid process, contract, payments, receipts, scope of work/services, and performance."
